DAoC Video Tweaks

Make Dark Age of Camelot look dramatically better with dgVoodoo2 + ReShade, Prondr's ready-to-go settings, plus the Nvidia and in-game configuration that goes with them.

Using dgVoodoo and ReShade to improve visual quality is permitted by Broadsword. It is NOT permitted to remove textures or otherwise violate the Terms of Service or spirit of the game.

I started playing with different settings to improve the visual quality of DAoC (aka make DAoC run on a toaster). If you have questions, hit me up in Discord. I asked Broadsword if posting ReShade & dgVoodoo was acceptable and the response was affirmative.

Instructions

  1. Download Prondr’s dgVoodoo 2.78 + ReShade 5.0 settings (above).
  2. Extract the .zip file. Extracted package contents
  3. Copy the contents of the extracted .zip into your DAoC game directory, where camelot.exe and game.dll live (default C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot).
  4. Launch camelot.exe.

  • Nvidia Profile Inspector, advanced video card settings
  • ReShade.me, shaders to make things pretty
  • dgVoodoo2, converts DirectX 9 to DirectX 12
